New to Commissioning?

The process of commissioning unique artwork varies from artist to artist. Some like to meet regularly with the client from start to finish and others like to meet once and then return to the client weeks later upon completion of the work. Some like to receive payment in instalments throughout the process and others will send a bill with the delivery.

Whatever the process, it can be exciting, daunting and confusing for both the client and the artist. First you, the client need to find an artist whose work you enjoy because your commission will ultimately reflect their style. Then you need to be able to express in some way, the difficult task of communicating your ideas to the artist and the artist wants to make new work, without compromising the art they produce.

Donna Vokes prefers the informal and friendly approach that let’s you get involved as much or as little as you like and is very excited to collaborate with you on your masterpiece. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what you want or if you have a small budget, work with Donna to help realise your ideas.
